RE: your comment over at mine:

YAY FOR INSPIRATION!! That is the reason I keep blogging. Cause once a week or so, someone comments that I inspired them to make or to do SOMETHING that they wouldn't have done otherwise.

Thank you, EarthMother, for making my wonderful day even better! Was out in the yard today, raking, weeding and burning the detritus. Great fun in the spring sun!

Okay. I did it. My first batch of cultured veggies: red and green cabbage, garlic, ginger. Fingers crossed. I'm kinda excited to see how this turns out.

It's definitely time to spring into action. The earth is awakening again :) I'm looking forward to more bike rides and walks during these lovely spring days. I'm planning my garden as well.
  • EarthMother - In The Raw · 8 months ago
I'm embarrassed to tell you how long it's been since I've been on a bike...BUT, I'm actually thinking of purchasing one this spring.

    Hooray for gardening!

Your blog warms my heart and offers insights that I take away to meditate upon. Though its now getting cold here, there is so much to Love and joy in the cooling months. I love this resting period. I am very happy for a little cave dwelling, time to be cosy and internal for a few months.

Your posts reminds me of the value of the Earth and what relationship am I having with the earth today. I was to thankyou today for this reminder!

Oh my gosh, that's right – on the other side of the planet, it's autumn now and your days are getting shorter. Time for you (and mama earth) to rest and renew now.

Sending many blessings your way, Lou.

what a cutie you used to greet us here! Inspiring words and delicious sounding salad. I will be making that dressing tomorrow. I tweeted you tonight :)
  • EarthMother - In The Raw · 8 months ago
Oh, thanks for the tweet. I really need to get on board and set up a Twitter account. I feel like I was the last person on the planet to join the blogosphere and now I'm the only one not tweeting.

The cabbage salad is great. You must of been reading my mind when you posted this. I was wondering what to do with my green cabbage. I didn't have purple cabbage, but a few grated carrots added color.

That's a great list and a wonderful looking salad. It got below freezing last night here and I covered my garden with a blanket. I swear my little romain grew a little overnight. My lettuces are growing a little, but I don't think as fast as they should. Maybe they will decide to take off now that the weather will be warmer.

Below freezing in Texas? Phew! Crazy-making weather here too. Yesterday, I was outside in a light jacket. Right now, it's snowing. I'm not putting in my square foot garden till Memorial Day at this rate.

Throw some nice compost into the beds and watch your lettuce grow like a weed. Happy soil = Happy veggies

What a beautiful, simple, fresh recipe. Cabbage is such a super food, I love finding new ways to eat it. And especially with the change in season, the extra vitamin C is an bonus. And gorgeous little one

Having been weened on Hungarian stuffed cabbage, I'm always on the lookout for new and creative ways of preparing cabbage in the raw. I'm actually making my first batch of cultured veggies right now — a cabbage-garlic-ginger combo. I'm excited to see how they turn out.

Making Love In The Kitchen...hmmm, can't wait to explore your site! Thanks so much for stopping by.
